TI DSP - XDS510 JTAG Emulator
  • CCS3.1 Installation & Configuration
  • -   Double click "Setup" file of the CCS3.1 and install CCS3.1 following the instructions.

    -   After the installation, two icons "Setup CCSStudio v3.1" and "CCStudio 3.1" as the following picture will     show on the desktop.

    -   Copy 2 files ("Ez-embedded.cfg", "Ez-embedded.dll" from the CD) in the directory "to be copied" and paste     them to the folder ":\CCStudio_v3.1\cc\bin" (CCStudio_v3.1=CCS3.1 default install directory).

    -   Connect the emulator with target board.

    -   Turn on the target board power, and if the emulator′s driver is correctly installed, the red light should be     ON. The red light can be only turned ON if the driver of emulator is successfully installed. Under the     situation that both green light (power) and red light (run) are ON, CCS is ready to operate.

    -   Run "CCStudio3.1" and wait a few seconds for the software to start. The user should see the following     window if the emulator is successfully installed and also emulator, target board and CCS are running well.

    -   The user can now go ahead to program, and burn Flash.

    NOTE:

The 14-pin JTAG cable must be connected properly; any improper connection may cause permanent damage to the emulator or target board. The 6th hole of the 14-hole socket has been sealed, so the 6th pin of the 14-pin JTAG connector of the target system has to be removed.
