EZ-University® is a full package for laboratory exercises focus on embedded system development, including evaluation board (based on Samsung S3C44B0 ARM7TDMI microcontroller), development tools (EZ-IDE for ARM with Jtag emulator), laboratory exercises codes and teaching materials. Evaluation board
The recommended evaluation board in EZ-University® package is EZ-S3CEV40 board, which is based on Samsung S3C44B0X 16/32-bit RISC microcontroller (ARM7TDMI). This board consist of S3C44B0X, boot Flash, SDRAM, Nand Flash, RTC, two serial ports, IIS (sound) interface, IDE port, JTAG interface, 8-SEG, ethernet interface and USB interface, a 320*240 LCD with touch screen and a 4*4 keypad are also provided with this board. Plenty of laboratory exercises codes with teaching materials are provided with this board. Further more, we also have uC/OS-II and ucLinux porting on this board. It's really convenient for teachers and helpful for students.
Other evaluation boards for students to excel in learning are available too. Such as LPCEB2000 board (based on Philips LPC2000 series ARM7TDMI microcontroller), ATEBSAM7S board (based on Atmel AT91SAM7S64 ARM7TDMI microcontroller), STDV710A board (based on ST Microelectronic STR710 series ARM7TDMI microcontroller), S3CEB2410 board (based on Samsung S3C2410 ARM920T microcontroller), ATEB9200 board (based on Atmel AT91RM9200 ARM920T microcontroller). We provide plenty of sample codes with all of these boards, but no teaching materials for these boards like S3CEV40 board.
Development tools
The recommended development tool in EZ-University® package is EZ-IDE for ARM development tools suite I. EZ-IDE for ARM tools suite include IDE, editor, compiler&linker, debugger, project manager, Jtag emulator, flash programmer and other tools. It's a complete tools solution for embedded system development base on ARM. EZ-IDE for ARM tools are easy enough to be used in both graduate and undergraduate programs. EZ-IDE is a high-performance, robust products. It provides strong features for debugging, editing and project management.
Teaching materials
EZ-EMBEDDED provides abundant teaching materials compound with EZ-University® package, including laboratory exercises codes, user manuals of boards and tools, laboratory exercises book, etc.
The laboratory exercises book is named "Embedded System Development and Labs". This book is based on the EZ-EMBEDDED S3CEV40 board. The Labs include five parts: basic labs for embedded development, basic device interfacing labs, complex human-machine interfacing labs, communication and voice interface labs, embedded RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) porting and application development. These five parts have 22 Labs in total. The labs increase in their difficulty as the book progresses through more material. The labs are very practical and target real world applications. The readers can quickly master the skills that are needed to develop real projects. The purpose of this book is to develop students’ creation ability, design ability, real world engineering project development ability. This lab manual can be used as a reference book for embedded system development based on ARM. Please see the chapter list of this book. We provide this book in PDF file in CD.
